Highly Experienced Consultant Obstetrician

Throughout her career, Charlotte has been deeply committed to supporting the emotional and psychological wellbeing of women during pregnancy, birth, and the postnatal period. She understands that pregnancy can be a time of vulnerability—particularly for those who may have experienced previous trauma, anxiety, or mental health challenges—and she is dedicated to creating a safe, calm, and respectful environment where every woman feels heard and supported.

Charlotte is the Clinical Lead for Perinatal Mental Health at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, where she leads services designed to support women experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, or other mental health concerns during pregnancy and after birth. Her approach is rooted in empathy, careful listening, and collaboration—helping women make informed choices that feel right for them, both emotionally and physically.

She graduated from St Mary’s Hospital Medical School, and completed her specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in North West London. Her clinical expertise was further strengthened by time working in Sydney, Australia, and a year as a Clinical Fellow in Maternal Medicine, focusing on high-risk obstetrics.

Charlotte also brings extensive leadership experience. She was appointed Lead Consultant for the Labour Ward in 2012 and became the Clinical Director for Patient Safety at Chelsea & Westminster NHS Foundation Trust in 2022. She holds a diploma in Clinical Risk Management and Claims from Capsticks Law Firm, and has completed a 5 year term as the Service Director for The Kensington Wing, where she prioritised clinical governance and the delivery of high-quality private maternity care.

Charlotte’s blend of clinical excellence and deep understanding of mental health makes her uniquely placed to offer care that is not only safe, but also emotionally supportive and empowering. Her calm, compassionate presence ensures that women and their partners are fully supported every step of the way.
